Depending on how they are used, laptops can seriously improve your productivity. It means that you can get work done no matter where you are, whether it be at the coffee shop on the street corner or sitting through a boring legislative assembly. The problem, it seems, is that it’s far too easy to not pay attention to the task at hand.

The Bhutan government has decided to the ban the use of laptops in the assembly “in order to prevent lawmakers from becoming distracted.” I guess too many of those lawmakers were too busy checking up on their Facebook accounts and posting funny pictures on their blogs to be bothered with what was happening in the house.

I guess the laptop users were too distracted with Internet Reversi when the vote when through to ban notebooks. Time to whip out the iPhone!
