You may recognize this stylish slider phone as the Samsung Mysto from Helio in the United States, but this slender wonder has now made it north of the border in the form of the Samsung A523 from Telus Mobility. By and large, you can expect much of the same functionality as its Mysto cousin, except it obviously won’t have that built-in Helio interface.

The Samsung A523 comes with a 2 megapixel camera, 2.2-inch QVGA display, video player, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, music player, speakerphone, HTML web browser, email, 100MB internal memory, microSD expansion for up to 4GB of additional storage, organizer, to do list, and calendar. I’d say it’s pretty healthy for a mid-range phone.

If you are so inclined, feel free to hop over to Telus and pick up the Samsung A523 for $99.99, assuming that you’ll sign a three-year contract. The two-year, one-year, and no-year prices are $149, $299, and $349, respectively.
