Acer Aspire Gemstone Blue Games Computex into Submission

Over at Computex Taipei in Taiwan, a series of special awards were given out to some of the most outstanding technology that is being featured in this year’s trade show. One of the winners of a Computex Taipei Design and Innovation Award 2008 is the Acer Aspire Gemstone Blue Notebook.

Although everyone seems to be clamoring smaller form factor laptops these days, Acer still knows that there is a huge market for the serious mobile gamer. The Aspire Gemstone Blue was designed to address the needs of hardcore gamers and multimedia buffs. As you may recall, this beefy laptop comes with a 16:9 FHD display, five built-in speakers, an innovative tube-type subwoofer, and a series of dedicated touch-sensitive multimedia controls along the left side.

If you happen to be down Taipei way, you can check out this monster of a notebook from Acer at Booth L 0615A.
