Let the competition begin continue! The big three in Canada — Bell, Telus, and Rogers — have been absolutely dominating the cellular phone market for years, so it’ll be great to finally see some fresh blood in the industry.

We’ve been hearing about this upcoming auction for some time now. There have been rumors that all sorts of both local and international players could be involved in bidding for some Canadian spectrum, including Deutsch Telecom (parent company to T-Mobile). As it stands, we’ve seen a total of 111 new bids in round three of the Canadian Wireless Spectrum Auction. The total bid thus far is over $627 million with all 26 entrants still remaining.

Check out the image provided here for more information about the current bid situation and who’s coming out on top thus far.
