It could be that the only thing holding Boost Mobile back from superstar status is a physical retail presence in the marketplace. If that’s the case, then I guess it’s smooth sailing ahead for the prepaid wireless MVNO. Boost Mobile has started to bring its “community” image to a series of brick-and-mortar stores across the nation.
These retail locations can be found in Huntington Park (California), Hialeah (Florida), and Houston (Texas). The new brick-and-mortar stores are meant to be more than just points of sale, because they are there to “cultivate a community around their brand.” The stores have gone green as well, getting filled with furniture and decor made from recycled materials.
“Becoming an integral part of these neighborhoods is a priority for Boost,” said Boost VP of Sales and Marketing Michael Lanzo. “We are actively engaging local civic officials and giving back to charities in the communities where our stores are located.”
