Some people may not be prepared to pay the premium for a MacBook Air and part of the reason for this is that it lacks any sort of cellular connectivity. What’s more, there do not appear to be any of the standard ExpressCard ports, so Apple lovers are forced to use one of the USB ports, of which there are not very many. Or so it may appear.

Instead of sitting around and complaining, Jordan Bunnell did something about it, tearing up his MacBook Air and installed his very own EVDO module. As a result, he is now able to enjoy a high-speed cellular connection on his remarkably thin laptop. To perform the mod, all Jordan had at his disposal was a Verizon USZB727 Aircard, a soldering iron, and a little ingenuity.

As you can imagine, this mod certainly is not for the faint at heart, so I would proceed very carefully if you choose to take the path that Jordan did.
