DXG-569V Provides HD Video Recording On the Cheap

Just because you want the ability to record your family memories in glorious high definition doesn’t mean that you need to break the bank. The DXG-569V series of flash-based camcorders has formally been announced and it seems like it’s going to be very affordable.

The feature set on the newly revealed 569V appears to be quite similar to the 566V, except it has a swiveling 3-inch LCD display and a form factor is more like the Sanyo Xacti line of digital camcorders. The DXG-569V is available now through Radio Shack and it records 1280×720 video at 30 frames per second. There’s only 32MB of internal memory, so you’ll need an SD card too.

In addition to high-def videos, the DXG-569V also does still pictures, voice memos, mass storage, and 2x digital zoom. Video clips are saved in H.264 .MOV format. Look for it in silver or black at just under $170.
