As much as some people may enjoy the concept of a UMPC, many simply cannot do without a full QWERTY keyboard. The Samsung P9200 addresses this issue by providing a full keyboard that can then be folded up for easy storage and portability. I swear I’ve seen something like this from Samsung before, but I guess the P9200 is finally bringing the concept to the real world.
The Samsung SPH-P9200 probably has a similar functionality as the Samsung Q1, also getting equipped with a touchscreen display, but the added QWERTY keyboard will certainly make typing a heck of a lot easier. The keyboard is divided in the middle and then the whole thing can fold up to fit in your briefcase.
Core specs include a Via C7_M processor, 512MB RAM, 30GB hard drive, a 1.3 megapixel camera, optical joystick, WiFi, HSDPA, and WiBro. There’s also mention of a “port replicator that includes 2 USB ports, LAN, VGA, and the power mode.” No word on pricing.
