Just because you’re not willing to give up your technological gizmos doesn’t mean that you can’t go a little greener. The Parasolar is a parasol (that’s a sun umbrella, in case you didn’t know) that harnesses the power of the sun and then provides that juice to the user for whatever purpose they see fit.

When it’s a nice day out, you can get a little shade with the Parasolar, but it’s the provided power in the handle that will really get you going. There is a 12-volt port as well as a pair of USB ports, granting power to your iPod, cell phone, or whatever other portable gadget. The power comes from flexible photovoltaic laminated panels that have been integrated into the synthetic cloth of the parasol.

No word on pricing or availability, but I hope that they have this thing ready for the summer.
