
One user on the OLPC News Forums was able to push the envelope up to 566 MHz, but he figured that it probably wasn’t the best idea to keep it at that speed, because the back of the screen got “noticeably warmer.” You wouldn’t want to end up with an extra toasty OLPC, that’s for sure.
As you can imagine, these techniques are not for the faint of heart and if you want some real performance, you probably shouldn’t be looking at the XO laptop in the first place. Then again, it’s always fun to see what is possible.
