I know that I can’t be the only one who feels this way. I much prefer a physical QWERTY keyboard over an on-screen one, because the latter ends up with a lot of typos. As popular as the iPhone happens to be, the virtual QWERTY keyboard leaves much to be desired. The My Touch Keys screen protector aims to rectify this situation.

My Touch Keys is not something particularly innovative. It’s not an external keyboard or anything like that. Instead, it’s just a thin sheet of plastic — you know, like a screen protector — that just so happens to have holes right where the on-screen keyboard is. Each of these holes lines up with a letter on the virtual keyboard, giving you some physical separation between the keys. Because it’s just a thin sheet of plastic, you are still able to do the usual swiping and resizing when the keyboard isn’t there.

It only costs $7.99 and could prove to be pretty useful for avid texters. They even have a buy one, get one free promotion going on right now.
