You thought the toushcreen was going to be the only touchy-feely part of the upcoming 8.9-inch Asus Eee PC? Pfft, I don’t think so. The almighty FCC has revealed that new Asus Eee PC will sport a multi-touch trackpad, not unlike the one that is currently used on the MacBook Air and the revitalized MacBook Pro.

In the sketches, you can see that you have the ability to zoom in and out using two fingers, stretching and shrinking the virtual image just like how you do on the iPhone and MacBook Air. Just pinch to zoom out and spread those fingers to zoom in. Scrolling through web pages just got a little easier too, because you just plant two fingers on the trackpad and skim through the text with the greatest of ease.

For all the people who got all excited over the original Asus Eee PC, they’ve got at least a couple more reasons to get even more excited about its larger and more powerful successor.
