When it comes to MP3 players, there are some people that want a virtual Swiss Army knife. I addition to tunes, they also want access to games, video playback, podcast support, and all sorts of other things. The Apple iPod Shuffle was one of the first major players to abandon all that functionality, opting to remove the display and any other extras. The Zen Stone took that concept and made it smoother. And now Samsung wants in on the minimalism too.

The Samsung YP-S2 MP3 player is also known as the Pebble, largely because it has a very similar form factor to the Creative Zen Stone. The YP-S2 is easily one of the smallest portable music players on the market and it’s really “quite cute”. The form factor mimics that of spa stones.

In terms of technical specifications, you get 1GB of internal memory, WMA/MP3 playback support, and about 10 hours playback. Look for them this May.
