Video: Ghetto iPod Video Projector Requires No External Power

Although the display on the third-generation iPod nano is pretty small, the resolution and color reproduction are good enough for watching sitcoms and cartoons (like Family Guy). That said, if you’re tired of squinting your eyes for some nano video-watching action, this inexpensive projector mod might be for you.

It appears to be a ridiculously simple process, because there is absolutely no hacking or slashing involved. Instead, the “mod” only requires a simple cardboard box with mirrors and lenses. All the box does is take the existing image from your iPod and reflect it through a series of mirrors onto a blank canvas on the wall. As you can imagine, the QVGA resolution and relatively low lumen count result in less than stellar picture quality.

That said, it doesn’t get much cheaper than this. Enjoy!
