Samsung is going around marketing their newly announced P200 laptop as an ultra-portable, but because it has a 12.1-inch display, it’s probably more appropriate to just call it a compact laptop. It’s not exactly small enough to be placed in the same subnotebook category as the Everex CloudBook or Asus Eee PC, both of which have 7-inch displays (for now).

Granted, the Samsung P200 is certainly smaller and lighter than some of its full-sized notebook counterparts, but it’s not fair to dub it an “ultraportable”. That term should be reserved for things like the Samsung Q1. In any case, the P200 weighs in at 1.89 kilograms and boasts such features as an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Protect-o-Edge casing, integrated 1.3MP camera, and Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics.

And if you happen to be a germophobe, you’ll feel a little relieved to hear that the Samsung P200 Ultra Portable Notebook PC comes with Silver Nano techology. This is supposed to keep the keyboard “completely bacteria free.”
