We’re not sure how long this deal will last, but if you want to get your hands on a free iPod shuffle from a reputable online store, you might want to act fast. As it turns out, Amazon is going to throw in a free 1GB shuffle if you purchase the 32GB iPod Touch for $494. It’s not exactly a “free” iPod, but that’s probably as close as you’re going to get without going through some shady “take a survey” kind of website.

The note on the Amazon site is pretty small, but you can see it just below the part that tells you about buying an iPod touch used or new from the Amazon Marketplace. The note reads:

You qualify for a free 1 GB iPod shuffle with the purchase of this 32 GB iPod touch from Amazon.com. Eligible 1 GB shuffles include the blue, green, silver, and purple. Just add both items to your cart and you will not be charged for the shuffle. See more details.

Sounds like a pretty straightforward process. Go ahead and keep the iTouch for yourself and give the display-less iPod to, I dunno, your less tech-savvy grandma or something.
