Symbian S60 Phones Get Integrated Google Search

It may not be a full-fledged Google Phone just yet, but if you happen to be a proud owner of an S60 handset, you can now get a piece of the big G too. Google has just released the Symbian S60 integrated Google search. Using this application, you’ll be able to search just about anything right from your phone’s home screen. This is because a Google search box is placed on the phone’s idle screen.

Some people may like the appearance of a Google box on the idle screen, so there is also an option to hide the search box inside the usual application launcher instead. You’d probably want to get your hands on some unlimited data if you plan on using the search box a lot, otherwise you’ll be stuck with quite the surprising bill at the end of the month.

Google Search for Symbian S60 is available on the Nokia 6220 Classic, 6210 Navigator, N78, and N96. The functionality will extend to other S60 handsets in the future.
