How would you like to score a free $99 bonus? We all like getting things for free, especially when they’re useful technological gizmos, so this just might be the deal for you. The Palm TX handheld has been kicking around for some time now, so it clearly doesn’t get the same level of attention as it used to. In an effort to promote sales, Palm is now throwing in a free Palm Z22 with every Palm TX purchased.

Yeah, I know. It’s not quite as cool as getting a free iPod touch with every iPhone purchased, but free is still free. The only problem with this deal is that you have to buy a Palm TX in the first place and based on the relative affordability and prevalence of smartphones, it seems almost silly to purchase a standalone PDA anymore. But hey, at least you get a $99 freebie.

Speaking for myself, I’d be more inclined to get a Treo if I really wanted some Palm-fueled goodness. But that’s just me.
