I realize that my 4GB SDHC memory card isn’t terribly impressive, but it was a huge upgrade over the 1GB SD card that I had been using previously. The four-gigger provides me with more than enough space for plenty of high resolution photos and DVD quality video clips, so I can’t even begin to fathom how I’d handle the 32GB SDHC offering from Panasonic.

Set for release some time this April, the monstrous card in a miniature form factor probably boasts close to the largest capacity available in such a small memory card. Having all this space is pretty much useless without an equal amount of speed, but Panasonic has that covered to with a transfer rate of over 20MB/sec.

This memory card is certainly not for the feint of heart, especially since it will cost a very hefty $700 at launch. For those on a tighter budget, there is also a 32GB SDHC card from Sandisk, but that one only does 15MB/sec.
