Late last month, we caught word that Jaguar was working on a new coupe to battle the Porsche 911. Even though the sale to Tata Motors is not yet fully completed, Jaguar is still busy at work creating new models for us to consider. We’ve managed to find a concept sketch of what the Jaguar-branded Porsche 911 fighter is going to look like, when and if the competitor ever makes it to the marketplace.

As we said before, this high-powered coupe would likely take on the F-Type moniker and will use a shortened version of the XJ all-aluminum chassis. This would help to keep the weight down and thus, could help to increase performance on the luxury sports car. By producing a more “track-worthy” vehicle, Jaguar could earn a little more respect among sports car enthusiasts.

This new car is reportedly a “top priority” for Jaguar, because they’re very interested in carving out a new niche for the company. Check out the high-resolution sketch at Leftlane News.
