Voce Loses Its Voice, Disappears from MVNO Game

Another one bites the dust. It seems that trying to create a profitable MVNO is more challenging than ever, because another one has decided to call it quits. If you’ve never heard of Voce, I don’t really blame you. They say that they were supposed to redefine customer care, but the net result of their efforts was that all of their customers were disconnected from service on Friday without notice.

They said that they were going to redefine customer care, but we didn’t know that it was going to be redefining it in a not so good way. What’s more, Voce also attempted to bill customers in advance for February notice, presumably with full knowledge that the clients would not be getting a full month of service. Ouch!

To make make matters even worse, customers are not able to port their numbers over to other carriers. So, yeah, Voce is dead and there are a whole lot of angry people. Not good.
