Asus is definitely an international company, offering their wares all across the world. The globe-trotting manufacturer most recently arrived in Russia where they are launching the Asus M51Sr notebook computer. Featuring a 15.4-inch widescreen (1280×800) display, this laptop appears to be a mid-range device with mid-range features to match.
Knowing Asus, though, Russians can be assured of the exceptional build quality that will be expected from the Asus M51Sr. The integrated WiFi radio supports the draft-N standard, as well as the usual 802.11a/g stuff. The other connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, four USB ports, TV-out, ExpressCard, and S-Video. Unlike other mid-range lappies, however, the M51Sr actually has a dedicated graphics card: a Radeon HD 2400 with 128MB of video memory.
To further set it apart from other mid-rangers, the Asus M51Sr also has niceties like a 1.3 megapixel swivel webcam, built-in microphone, and a biometric fingerprint reader. No word on price.
