Incase Charges iPods and iPhones Two Ways, One Device

Doesn’t it suck when you have to buy multiple accessories for the same bloody device? For years, we’ve been left with buying one iPod charger that plugs into a wall outlet and another one that fits in the 12V cigarette lighter jack of an automobile. You would think that someone would come up with a solution that effectively takes care of both possibilities without having to deal with messy adapters.

The Incase 2-in-1 Wall and Car Charger is actually what it sounds like; it’s a single device that will top up the battery of your iPod or iPhone one of two ways. The primary form factor looks like that of a car charger, finding its way into the cigarette jack for juicing purposes. However, you’ll notice that within the body of the charger is a flip-out plug that will fit into a standard wall outlet. Two charging methods shoved into a single accessory.

While it is certainly more efficient than buying two separate accessories, the Incase solution isn’t any cheaper. The $39 asking price is about the same as buying a car charger and a wall charger, but at least it’s more convenient.
