
Yes, you read that correctly. This solid state drive comes packed with an incredible 1.6 terabytes of data capacity, far surpassing BiTMICRO’s previous accomplishment: the 832GB SSD that was shown off at CES 2008 in Las Vegas. Sustained data transfer speeds are quite impressive, moving those 1s and 0s at up to 230MB/sec.
I imagine that the pricing will be through the roof — just take a look at the SSD option on the Macbook Pro — so you may be better off considering the 16GB version that BiTMICRO plans on launching in Q3 2008.
