When you take a look at the Mustek DV300T, most people wouldn’t even start to think that it’s a digital camcorder, but that’s precisely what serves as its primary function. I know, I’m pretty surprised too.
You would think that with what appear to media controls and a small color display, the Mustek DV300T is better suited as an iPod nano competitor, trying to carve out a portion of the MP3/video player market. Yes, the DV300T is capable of playing multimedia files too, but the bigger selling point is the 3.1 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities. The downer is that there is no optical zoom.
In this way, you could say that the Mustek DV300T is not unlike a candybar mobile phone, but without the cellular radios for communication purposes. Extra functionality comes by way of a voice recorder and a text reader. No word on pricing or availability.
