The current Acura RL just seems like an overpriced luxury sedan to me and that’s largely because it doesn’t really have the outward appearance of a car that costs that much. Maybe Acura has heard my pleas, because people are saying that a completely redesigned Acura RL will be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show.

Probably set to be a 2009 model, the new Acura RL only shares two body panels with the outgoing model, getting a complete tummy tuck and facelift. We hear that it’ll be powered by a 3.7L V6 developing north of 300 horsepower and getting backed up with a revamped SH-AWD system that sends more power to the rear wheels. There’s also mention of an improved HVAC system.

At the same Chicago Auto Show, we may see the revitalized 2009 Acura TSX as well. The new TSX might even get some V6 and SH-AWD treatment along the way.
