Why Charge an iPod When You Can Broadcast It Too?

That seems to be the thought behind the latest iPod accessory to come out of the XtremeMac camp, because here is the InCharge FM, a device that will simultaneously top up the battery of your music player and send those tunes out via FM radio.

We’ve seen countless accessories for the Apple portable player in the past and there’s a good chance that this isn’t a novel idea. Even so, XtremeMac has seemingly done a great job of integrating the FM transmitter into what looks like little more than a power cable for your iPod. It’ll take its juice from a standard vehicular 12 volt power outlet (i.e., the cigarette lighter jack). They say that the Quintic PureFM technology provides “near CD quality.” How near remains to be seen.

The XtremeMac InCharge FM will be launching soon with an asking price of $69.95.

I just got through a half dozen documentaries and videos that I’ve been meaning to get to for months now. How I did it? The Just Mobile UpStand and a bit of help from CineXplayer. Now that my iPad conveniently sits next to my monitor in seemingly perfect viewable angle, I can let those videos play as I work during the day.

Its large display, crystal clear screen, and a multitude of features make it one of the most impressive tablets on the market. Check out Mobile Magazine’s iPad review here. However, like all iDevices, they do leave something to be desired in the area of durability.
