You know how some cellular providers go around saying that they provide you with unlimited wireless data, only to throw on some sort of upper limit that they believe is just as good as unlimited? Verizon Wireless was one such firm, having set a “soft cap” at 5GB a month some time back. You could go over this limit, but you might be liable for overages.

Well, it seems that Verizon Wireless might be getting rid of their data cap, because a recent VZW statement is saying that the unlimited wireless broadband really comes with an unlimited MB allowance. It’s hard to say whether we should really believe these statements, because the “soft cap” could still be in place.
