When it comes to the production of iPod speaker docks, very few companies compete at quite the same level as XtremeMac. Sure, the speaker systems for Apple’s popular music player may seem to be popping up in every which direction, but you’ve got to talk about fit, finish, and sound quality. Over at CES 2008, XtremeMac is proudly displaying one of their latest creations, the Tango X2 speaker system designed for Apple iPod portable media players.
Instead of delivering just plain ol’ stereo sound, the XtremeMac Tango X2 pounds the ground with a full 2.1 audio system, adding a subwoofer into the mix alongside the pair of stereo speakers. They say that each stereo channel contains a full-range speaker as well as a tweeter, all of which are “precision tuned for unprecedented audio performance.”
Outside of playing your huge iTunes-fueled library, the XtremeMac Tango X2 also has an AM/FM radio, auxiliary line in jack for other devices, an advanced function remote, a cleverly concealed LED display, and a funky control wheel for power, source, volume, and tuning.
