D-Link is using CES to unveil a router that works better than ever, and a way to make it look fancy, too. The Xtreme N Duo Dual Band Wireless Router is designed to provide enhanced speed for people who are running multiple devices through their router. The next generation Dual Band 802.11n Draft N router uses the 2.4GHz band for internet browsing and e-mail sending, and the 5GHz band for things ike streaming movies and music and playing games. That keeps everything smoother and efficient.

D-Link and Skinit have combined to create the first personalized skins for their most popular routers. There are more than 3000 designs to choose from, with everything from your favorite sport team or corporate logo to photos or tattoos available. Skinit’s skin are made of high-quality vinyl, and are personalized with your choice of deign and for your particular router model. Maybe this means that more routers will more into prominent positions in homes.
