It seems like Asus isn’t the only company cashing in on the recent popularity of the Eee PC and the copycats are sprouting out of every which direction. At first glance, even some of the marketing photos for the Noahpad UMPC from E-Lead look like the Eee PC, but the Noahpad has a slight advantage over the Asus offering.

The main difference is that the hinge allows the display to flip all the way over, much like a Tablet PC convertible. I don’t think that it’s a touchscreen, but seeing how folks are able to shove one of those into the Eee PC, they should probably be able to do the same with the Noahpad. The keyboard will sprout out the back, so if you’ve got an impeccable memory, you can type with your hands wrapped around this unit.

In terms of raw specs, you get Ubuntu 7.10 Linux OS, 1GHz VIA C7 Eden processor, 30GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, and the ability to run Windows XP if that’s what you prefer. I hope it has WiFi too.
