Prior to his recent experience in an F1 car, Richard Hammond’s fastest car experience was with the Bugatti Veyron. This exercise in possibilities cranks out somewhere around 500 horsepower per ton, making it one of the fastest street legal vehicles in the world. It’s also quite impressive to hear that the powerplant develops a whopping 1001 horsepower. But you already knew that.

My only experience with a Bugatti Veyron was when Tom Cruise whizzed by in front of Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood for the premiere of Mission: Impossible III. It was just a glimpse, but man that car looked hot.
