No, that’s not an Audi TT pictured here. Instead, we turn to the country to France to discover that the Peugeot 308 RC-Z is about to head into production, much to the delight of sports coupe lovers around the world.

The initial 308 RC-Z concept — the RC does not stand for remote-controlled, despite the R/C car-like appearance of this sporty number — was revealed to the world at the Frankfurt Motor Show a few short months ago, and Peugeot is already prepared to mass manufacture the 2+2 coupe. The concept vehicle came powered by a 218hp turbo four-banger, but production versions will likely be available with other engine choices as well.

The current plans for Magna of Austria to handle the actual production, with the Peugeot 308 RC-Z sports coupe arriving in French dealerships in 2009. Looks hawt.
