Designed well, even a salt and pepper shaker can be impressive

If you are really committed to design and elegant function then you will want everything around you to exhibit the attention to detail and uniqueness that turns you on. That obviously extends to the realm of food, since we spend time eating every day. Food usually tastes better with salt and pepper, so it only makes sense that a salt and pepper shaker would get the attention of a creative designer. Millions of salt and pepper shaker collectors would tell you that these things can be addictive.

This design concept is simply called the Switch Me, because a big switch lets you move between salt and pepper. Each one is stored inside in a separate contain so that the flavors don’t mix, and each comes out of holes on opposite ends. This obviously isn’t high tech, and we have seen far more complicated technology in salt shakers before, but the beauty is in the simplicity here.
