Glowing Umbrella lights your way

Paranoia is at an all time high in our society, so you can sell pretty much anything as long as people believe that it adds to their safety. Exhibit A – this glowing umbrella. The entire parasol glows, lighting up your night as you stay dry. I’d suggest that this is a sign of the apocalypse (will it really do anything to improve our quality of life?), but thankfully it is only a concept for now. The biggest impediment standing in the way of reality would be a reliable power source that would last long enough to make it useful. The obvious answer would be a hydrogen battery that could convert the rainwater that falls onto the umbrella into fuel, but then that might be too much to ask. At the very least, it would probably make it just a little bit more expensive than your typical umbrella.
