Chopper style… chop, chop, chopper style. Chopper style… chop, chop, chopper style.
With tribal-like styling around the MSI logo on the top cover, the MSI GX-600 gaming laptop looks like it’d be perfectly suited for the more gaming-oriented members of a biker gang. And it’s got the roar of a motorcycle engine to match. You’ll notice that just about the keyboard is a fat button marked “Turbo”. That’s because the MSI GX-600 features Turbo Drive Engine technology, effectively overclocking the CPU by up to 20% with a single press of a button.
Interestingly, you cannot make use of turbo mode without being tethered to an AC power source. I guess MSI recognizes that battery life would be absolutely deplorable in battery-only mode, so they’ve disabled that feature altogether. Key specs include an Intel Core 2 Duo mobile processor, Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics, HDMI interface, Dolby 5.1 audio output, Vista Home Premium, 15.4-inch WSXGA+ LCD, 2GB RAM, 250GB SATA HDD, Bluetooth, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.
If you need to ask about price, the MSI GX-600 gaming laptop probably isn’t for you anyways. Two versions will be available: a Performance Edition and an Extreme Edition (pictured) with flame graphics.
