As predicted in August, Verizon Wireless has officially revealed four new additions to their smartphone family, telling us that “staying connected” is “a personal choice.” This new roster of PDA phones and smartphones should all be ready to ship in time for the holidays, just in case you want to give a business-minded handheld to that special someone.
The most notable announcement is the Samsung ScH-i760. Powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional, you get treated to a large touchscreen display, a standard numeric keypad, a horizontal slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Mobile Office, stereo Bluetooth, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. The Samsung SCH-i760 sells for $350 after $50 MIR and a new two-year contract.
Rounding out the quartet of smartphones are the Verizon Wireless VX6800 (by UTStarcom) with slide-out QWERTY, 2MP cam, WiFi, and WM6; Palm Treo 755p with a slim form factor, color touchscreen, and miniSD expansion; and the Verizon Wireless SMT5800 (UTStarcom) with slide-out QWERTY, WM6 Standard, WMP10, and 2MP cam.
