I know. I’m as disappointed as you are that the four leaked Motorola phones earlier this month ended up being all fakes. That’s because that information was based on a blurry spy pic from an undisclosed sales presentation.
The Boy Genius went ahead and got information straight from the horse’s mouth, chatting it up with “one of Motorola ninjas” to see what the company has in store for 2008. Highlights include the release of the Motorola Z10 by the end of this year and the transition from Linux to UIQ.
Among the new handsets planned are: a 3G QWERTY entry-level smartphone with Windows Mobile 6 and a touchscreen (Motorola Q10?); a high-end flagship phone with NVIDIA 3D gaming graphics; an ELBA device — codenamed KEYWEST — with 3G, UIQ, 3.2 megapixel camera, and MOTOMAGX 7.3 platform; and a Nokia N95 competitor with a 5MP camera, GPS, 16 million color touchscreen, and UIQ 4.0.
