It’s not quite the iPhone, but it’s probably the closest official thing that Canadians will be getting any time soon. The HTC Touch has been launched over at Telus Mobility. While it may have the same outward appearance as its GSM counterpart, there are several shortcomings to this CDMA variant.

Yes, you still get Windows Mobile 6 and that awesome TouchFLO interface, but there are a couple of notable radios missing from the package. For starters, the Telus take on the HTC Touch (HTC P3050) does not have WiFi, forcing you to rely on EV-DO Rev.A (when it rolls out) for data. It also lacks GPS.

The rest of the stuff is pretty standard with stereo Bluetooth, handsfree speakerphone, and microSDHC expansion. Price has been set at $150 with a three-year contract.
