The HTC Touch P3050 isn’t the only new HTC smartphone to hit up the land of the maple leaf this morning. Telus Mobility has also snatched up the HTC S640, which is basically a CDMA-ized version of the HTC Excalibur and Cavalier. More recently, we saw this phone being bandied about as the HTC Iris.
The news announced these two new additions didn’t exactly come out of left field: We heard inklings of their arrival back in August.
In terms of features, the HTC S640 gets equipped with Windows Mobile 6, a full QWERTY keyboard, a landscape-oriented color display, EV-DO Rev.A, 2.0 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, microSDHC expansion, and built-in Wi-Fi. Much like the Touch, the HTC S640 is also $149.99 with a three-year.
