Didn’t you know that black is the new, er, black? While most people have seen the slim Sony Ericsson W880i in its silver and orange motif, this is the first time that the phone has been spotted in a pure black chassis. This should come as little surprise, given the popularity of black cell phones and other electronics, but it is interesting that Sony Ericsson didn’t go for a glossier body. Instead, the casing appears to be a non-fingerprint-attracting matte black.

As I’m sure you’d imagine, the actual specs on this mobile phone will probably be very similar to its silver counterpart. This means that you will probably still get UMTS, tri-band GSM, M2 memory card expansion, stereo Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel camera, TrackID music recognition, and — of course — an integrated Walkman music player.

More colors, more options. Sounds like a good deal to me.
