In order to grab the attention of the public, sometimes you have to try some rather interesting things. JVC Victor has done that with their XA-AW33 waterproof audio player, a device that will actually float in your bathtub. At least, I presume that’s where you’d want to use a glossy white wonder like this, bobbing your head to Lionel Richie as you doze off to the smell of scented candles.

Weighing in at 260 grams, the JVC XA-AW33 comes with some sort of special speaker designed by NXT, a technology and licensing company based out of the UK. There’s no mention of what sort of capacity this toilet bowl-shaped device contains or what sort of file formats it supports, but we can tell you that it lacks any sort of display and the controls are hidden underheat a panel on top.

Available now (in Japan, the JVC Victor XA-AW33 retails for 19,800 Yen, or about $170.
