Earlier today, we told you that your modified iPhone could get bricked with the next firmware update and this includes anyone who happens to be rocking an unlocked iPhone (that is a modification, after all). Thankfully, the guys and gals at the Unofficial Apple Weblog have put together a tutorial that teaches you how to relock your iPhone and thus avoid ending up with a bricked glossy wonder when Apple rolls out its next update.

Naturally, the guide is meant to followed at your own risk and there are no guarantees that the steps taken will be enough to avoid a bricked iPhone. There’s also a distinct possibility that each handset has a limited number of locks and unlocks, so goof more than once and you could be screwed anyways.

Proceed with caution, but here are the instructions when you are ready.
