Some people say that the comparison between one petrol-powered car and another diesel-powered one is akin to comparing apples and oranges. There are too many other factors that come into play, so it’s not really fair to look at the two vehicles on a 1-to-1 basis. This video clip from Fifth Gear takes all the guesswork out of the equation, pitting two Mini Coopers up against one another. The critical difference is that one is diesel, whereas the other petrol.
