It’s obviously not the most compact solution available to laptop users, but the Logitech AudioHub Notebook Speaker System looks like it can provide some serious thump through its 2.1 speaker design. A one-piece solution, the AudioHub not only provides you with stereo sound and a table-shaking subwoofer, but it also pulls double duty as a USB hub, providing three high-speed USB 2.0 ports.

They say that the three-chamber speaker system with the integrated subwoofer will create “balanced audio with clear highs and solid lows” and based on the sheer size of this so-called “compact” system, I’m pretty sure it’ll at least sound better that the tiny speakers housed within your notebook. There’s also a mute button to cut sound without cutting power to the 3-port USB hub.

Measuring 3.5 inches in height, the Logitech AudioHub will sell for about $100 when it ships next month.
