If you go with a standard mono Bluetooth headset, you can’t enjoy your music in both ears. If you go with a stereo headset, they’re typically more cumbersome and aren’t quite as effective for voice calls. Plantronics has solved this all too common conundrum with the Plantronics Voyager 855, a Bluetooth headset that swings both ways.

In its most compact form, the Voyager 855 looks like any other stick-style headset, plugging into your ear and extending its microphone boom nice and close to your mouth. When it comes time to rock out, however, a second earbud becomes available that you can then place in your other ear. Stereo music when you need it, compact mono-ness when duty calls.

Other selling points include 7 hours of talk time and superior AudioIQ DSP noise reduction technology. Pricing has been set at $150 with an expected launch next month. The mono-only variant — Voyager 815 — will ship at the same time with a $130 price tag.
