Toshiba TLP-WX2200U 3LCD Projector Gets Priced at Less Than $1,000

It doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg to get high resolution projecting on the go, because Toshiba has just announced the availability of their TLP-WX2200U 3LCD widescreen mobile projector. And the good news is that it’s going to be less than a g-note. The bad news is that it’s only a buck less than $1,000.

The Toshiba TLP-WX2200U 3LCD mobile projector is fully compatible with HDTV/DTV, offers 2200 ANSI lumens, and while it’s not quite ready to tackle the 1080p side of things, it does have a native resolution of 1280 x 800 (WXGA). That’s still a lot of projected pixels. The 600:1 contrast ratio is pretty decent too. Other critical features include Natural Color Enhancer color correction, one-touch auto setup, password protection, whisper quiet operation (31db), and 16.7 million colors.

No word on price, but the Toshiba TLP-WX2200U 3LP mobile projector is available for order now through Toshiba’s authorized distributors, VARs, mail-order outlets, and toshibadirect.com.
