Some people prefer having the Swiss Army knife of cell phones. They want it to take pictures, play music, and mow the lawn every so often. For people with the completely opposite inclination, there is this rather strange contraption. Sanyo and Wilcomm have teamed up to create what very well may be the most minimalist cell phone known to man. This thing doesn’t even have a display. What’s more, it doesn’t even have its own battery.

Instead, power comes by way of a single AA battery that provides 5 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby. You won’t find Bluetooth on here, nor will you be able to take any pictures with an integrated camera. There is nothing to this phone other than its Apple-like glossy white exterior, cylindrical form factor, and basic smattering of keys.

I can’t imagine why anyone would want a cell phone without a display, but if that’s been your lifelong journey, consider your mission accomplished. No word on pricing or availability.
