I personally think that you’re better off using a portable media player than a portable DVD player, but there are still lots of people out there who prefer to watch their videos on the go using an optical disc. Portable DVD players typically offer much larger screens, however, so they’re great for sharing a rowdy movie session on the road. Now, you can be booming along too.

The Go Video boombox looks like most other boomboxes, except it has a huge 7-inch color display in the front for watching DVD movies. The large speakers are probably much more powerful than the tiny things that typically come with clamshell-style portable DVD players. Other critical features include a CD player, AM/FM tuner, and a remote control. No iPod dock, unfortunately.

The Go Video boombox sells for $159.99.
