No, I’m not talking about some cheesy cell phone that’s been wrapped in an ugly plastic faceplate. This patent actually adds some funky functionality to an otherwise nondescript clamshell mobile phone. As you can see from the picture provided, all you have to do to quickly access (and open) your flip phone is to press down on the inside of your palm using your middle and ring fingers.
Yes, do the same action that Peter Parker does to unleash his web of love, swinging from building to building as he tackles the New Goblin, the Sandman, and Venom. It seems like an interesting, albeit essentially useless, idea, but having to wear this ratchety thing on your wrist could prove to be quite cumbersome. To make things more interesting, this patent for a “device for the quick and easy use of a small size cellular phone” was patented in 2004.
